Golden State Little College

As the chair on Committee on Education, Hon. Margareth Rose N. Santos joined the celebration of the 4th Moving Up Exercises of Golden State Little College last March 23, 2012. The celebration was an annual occasion to move up the little pupils of Golden State to their next level of fun learning while acknowledging their efforts in their respective academic and non-academic awards.

Who would have thought that from a far flung community in Barangay San Jose there lived a man with innovative vision and talent. A good man. A thinker.  A teacher. An innovator. Sir William Moraca. Yes! You heard it right. William Moraca is not only a resident of the said barangay, he is also the school head of Datal Salvan and Klolang Elementary Schools.

Gensan Jin ruled the 87th NCAA Taekwondo Championship

Last February 14, 2012 during the regular session at the Sangguniang Panlungsod in this city, Hon. Margareth Rose N. Santos passed a resolution congratulating a young general who once again gave honor and pride to General Santos. A young general named Glen Francis Gacal ruled the Bantamweight Division during the recently concluded 87th NCAA Taekwondo Championship held at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

During the tourney, Glen Francis Gacal, which hails from the city of champions - GENSAN, is the son of Mr & Mrs Bong Gacal. Glen Francis is a student from the College of St. Benilde Blazers. He helped the CSB Blazers as the 2nd overall champion with a total of 344.75 points.
